New Set

The new Mars Mission sets have come out. The set I would want most would be the Crystal Reaper 7645. I have counted the treads and there are 70 of them in the new black color. And 6 orange sprockets like the ones in the bulldozer set. The price is 50 dollars. It contains 600 pieces. The below picture is not of the whole set. I have only seen it for sale in the UK. But that should change soon.

Articulated Steering

I built this to test the idea of 4 wheel steering.

My challenge is for someone to build this using the NXT. It would probably be easier not to make the middle wheels move back and forth. But it would be interesting to see how you would power the axle while it moves. If you do build it with the NXT please put it on NXTLog and comment to tell me that you put it on. New Projects

These are my latest projects NXHummer and ButterMilk This is the first spot you can see them at. I will put them on NXTLog eventually. I am currently programming a turret that I built.

How do you connect?

I am wondering what the best way to remotely control your NXT is? Also how do you control your NXT if you do. I was wondering about lowest price best functionality and easiest programming. So if you have experience with one NXT controller in specific or several than please post and tell me the pros and cons for price, functionality, programing and fun. Thanks to all who post.

Jumping Giant

I bought the 8651 Jumping Giant.
I mainly bought it for the wheels but there are a few
Technic beams, axles and pins. Surprisingly I got it for five
dollars less that the original price including S&H.

This is a work in progress my Jeep using NXT.
It has 4 wheel drive and articulated steering but it
isn't fast because there is a worm gear in the drive chain.
I am having a hard time replacing the worm gear to make it go faster. Because currently it is slow. any ideas would be kind.

Whats that sound? I don't now but its getting closer. Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! Its a Bug look out he's coming closer. Watch out! Run! Get the raid! Kill it! Wait look its just a robot phew I thought it was real that scared me well I'm glad it was just a robotic bug not a real one. Phew.
This bug is tough and he is coming for you. So you better watch out. I got a book out of the library but it was for the old RCX kit but I wanted to build it out of NXT. This robot balances on two wheels and uses two motors to move.It was hard to take him from RCX to NXT but it was worth it. Here is a link to my project on NXTLog with more pictures.
